Warmageddon began with a simple concept ... an online fantasy dueling simulator. Simply put an online game where players create and train fighter to the pitted against other player-created fighters - the goal being to create the ultimate fighter.
In the course of developing the game, a simple back story was created for the land and its denizens. The economy is based on gladiator combat. The government was once a monarchy of human pharaohs centered in the Bull City. There are regional capitals for each of the Major Races (dwarfs, elves, giants, and humans) and ancestral areas of influence by the Minor Races (bwangs and orcs). At some point, the monarchy was replaced by an oligarchy of seven known as the Senior Council.
